Gonzales, LA – On January 23, 2016, two subjects entered Wal-Mart in Gonzales and proceeded to the check cashing center. Both subjects presented checks to the cashier in the amounts of $699.95 and $697.95. The cashier became suspicious of the subjects and contacted the manager for assistance. At this time, the subjects left the store.
Upon leaving, the subjects left behind two driver’s licenses with the checks. The driver’s licenses were found to be fraudulent, and the persons listed on the identifications do not exist. The names on the checks were the same as on the fraudulent driver’s licenses. Neither subject was able to obtain any money from the attempted transactions. The subjects were observed leaving the parking lot in a black in color Nissan Altima Coupe.
Anyone with information relative to the true identities of the two pictured subjects is asked to call the City of Gonzales Police Department at 225 647-9536 or Crime Stoppers at 225 344-STOP.
